Extreme unveils unified global AI-powered partner plan
Extreme Networks has launched a new global partner programme called Extreme Partner First, with a single rebate structure, a revised deal registration process and new AI tools for reseller partners.
The company said the programme introduces a unified rebate model based on SKU and volume. It also sets out a global framework for deal registration. Extreme Networks said it aims to cut delays and make pricing and benefits clearer across markets.
Extreme Networks positioned the programme as a replacement for partner models that vary by region and product line. The company said partners often face different approval workflows and inconsistent protections when pursuing opportunities across borders. It said it has set out a common process for international deals.
Rebates and pricing
Extreme Networks said the programme uses one global rebate model. The company said this removes ambiguity for partners and improves predictability on margins. The model applies across products under the company's portfolio, including its Extreme Platform ONE offer.
The company said it has also revised pricing visibility within the programme. It described clearer pricing and benefits as a core part of the partner changes. It also pointed to a streamlined structure for rebates and registrations, rather than multiple parallel tracks.
Deal registration
Extreme Networks said it has changed deal registration to make it consistent across geographies. It said the process is "modern, simple, and globally consistent".
The company said it has introduced what it describes as system-enforced partner protection. It said this approach provides ownership and credit from registration through to close. Extreme Networks also highlighted new international partner identification tools as part of the updated framework.
For certain service commitments, Extreme Networks set a target of 48 hours for approval. The company described this as a target approval for Service Level Agreements.
AI sales assistant
Extreme Networks said the programme includes an AI tool named Partner AI Sales Assistant. The company said the assistant provides sales information quickly. It said the tool surfaces product and solution information, relevant case studies and price sheets.
Extreme Networks also said it has introduced role-based dashboards and more automation in partner workflows. It said the updated experience covers opportunity submissions, approvals, deal visibility and access to rewards.
Training updates
Extreme Networks said it has updated training and certification within the partner programme. The company said partners can earn combined certifications for installation and troubleshooting. It said the certifications have a focus on AI-readiness and use cases within Extreme Platform ONE.
The company said the training changes align with customer demand for AI-related networking deployments and operations. It positioned the programme changes as part of its channel approach to reaching customers through partners.
Richard Simmons, Director of Network Solutions, Logicalis, said, "When we work with vendors, our goal is to build long-term partnerships grounded in mutual success and, most importantly, the success of our customers. Extreme's new partner program reflects a clear commitment to that same outcome, reducing unnecessary complexity and delivering a more transparent, predictable, and collaborative experience."
Extreme Networks framed the programme as a response to partner requirements for quicker decisions and clearer protections when investing in pipeline and pursuing opportunities. It also linked the programme to changing expectations in the networking market, including automation and AI features in management tools.
Joe Spencer, Senior Vice President of Global Channels and Strategic Initiatives, Extreme Networks, commented, "Extreme's partners are central to how we win in the market. As partners face accelerating technology shifts and rising customer expectations, partner programs must remove friction, not add to it."
"With Extreme Partner First, we're redefining the partner experience with a unified global deal model, radically simplified deal registration, and AI-powered automation across the lifecycle. Partners get clarity, speed, and protection-so they can operate more efficiently, invest with confidence, and deliver greater value to their customers while building long-term, profitable growth with Extreme."
Extreme Networks said the programme applies globally and sets out a single structure for rebates and deal registration across regions, with AI-driven tools and updated training as part of the partner offering.
