Gamma acquires Coolwave to boost global voice services presence
London-based technology provider Gamma Communications has announced the strategic acquisition of Coolwave Communications, an international SMS and voice services provider. This move represents a decisive step in Gamma's bid to strengthen its global presence and enhance its voice services offerings.
Coolwave makes it simple and efficient for carriers, OTT players, CPaaS and XaaS providers to expand their voice and messaging capabilities with tailored solutions. Coolwave operates across the globe with a network of Point-of-Presence in Amsterdam, Dublin, London and Singapore.
Complimenting Coolwave, Gamma is a respected communication services provider for several of the world's UCaaS, CPaaS, and CCaaS providers, as well as working with several hyperscalers. With the addition of Coolwave to its portfolio, Gamma aims to amplify its delivery of voice services to over 100 countries.
This acquisition is expected to assist Gamma in executing its overarching strategy of catering to the communication requirements of global organisations of all sizes. Key to this strategy is providing a highly scalable technical infrastructure, pivotal to the SIP, Microsoft Direct Routing, and Operator Connect propositions as Gamma expands internationally.
Mike Mills, Director of Service Providers at Gamma, commented on the acquisition: "The purchase of Coolwave aligns perfectly with our strategy to expand our global footprint and provide world-class voice and SMS services to customers. This move enhances our competitive position and empowers us to offer even more innovative solutions."

This partnership allows us to integrate our strengths, technology, and customer relationships with Gamma's resources, size, brand, and energy. Together, we can bring additional services to our customer base and deliver unparalleled voice and messaging services to businesses around the globe."
Daryl Pile, Managing Director of Gamma Business, underscored the compatibility of Coolwave with Gamma's existing services: "The Coolwave team and their capabilities are a perfect fit for our Service Provider team. Together we can now offer a range of internationally available services to over 400 existing customers. This will enable us to expand existing relationships and cultivate new ones, accelerating growth in the global voice services market."
