Hardip Sohi-Bains joins Milestone Systems as chief officer
Hardip Sohi-Bains has been appointed as the new Chief People and Culture Officer at Milestone Systems. She brings with her a wealth of experience from previous roles at Ramboll and Novo Nordisk in Denmark.
Milestone Systems, a Danish provider of data-driven video technology software, has expressed optimism about Sohi-Bains' involvement in fostering the company's growth. Thomas Jensen, CEO of Milestone Systems, noted her strengths in organisational change, leadership, and business. "She will be a great asset in our efforts to further strengthen Milestones growth journey, focusing on engagement and talent management," Jensen stated.
Milestone Systems' video management software is utilised globally across diverse sectors, from traffic management to schools and hospitals. When approached about the new position, Sohi-Bains was eager to join. "I am very excited about Milestones People First strategy, the strong focus on Responsible Technology, the level of innovation and the growth ambition," she said. "People must be at the core of everything we do, creating opportunities to grow professionally and personally."
Sohi-Bains, originally from Leicester, moved from her post as HR Director at Ramboll UK to Denmark in 2017. In Denmark, she initially served as Head of HR Transformation and Group Functions at Ramboll's headquarters before advancing to the role of Global Head of Human Resources for Corporate Functions. She embraced the move to Denmark wholeheartedly. "I was so excited about the Scandinavian HR-mindset of empowering people that I did not think twice when I had the opportunity to move to Denmark, and I must say I have not regretted it," she acknowledged.
A dedicated Liverpool Football Club supporter, Sohi-Bains resonates with the words of the club's anthem "You'll Never Walk Alone." She believes the anthem symbolises the ideals of her new role at Milestone. "The People First culture is characterised by principles of freedom, inclusion, and a strong sense of togetherness," she explained.
Her first day at Milestone Systems is set for 15 June, when she will also join the Executive Leadership Team. Sohi-Bains' extensive resume includes 20 years in HR and People and Culture leadership roles, a BSc in Engineering from Coventry University, and an MA in Strategic Human Resource Management from the University of Hertfordshire. Born in 1978, she is married and a mother of two daughters, aged 14 and 17, and has been residing in Copenhagen since her move in 2017.
