HDF Energy revolutionises operations with digital Source-to-Contract solution
HDF Energy, a force in the hydrogen sector, has successfully digitised its Source-to-Contract (S2C) operations with the assistance of global spend management firm Ivalua and its partner Cyrias. This has revolutionised the way in which the French hydrogen infrastructure developer and multi-megawatt fuel cell manufacturer streamlines supplier selection, negotiation processes, and contract management.
HDF Energy operates in numerous parts of the world and focuses on the development of advanced technology solutions aimed at decarbonising the sectors of electricity production, heavy mobility, and industry. It boasts a flourishing business portfolio worth over EURO €5 billion, spread across five continents.
The hydrogen industry giant was in need of an efficient yet flexible platform to digitise its S2C processes. After a thoughtful selection process, HDF Energy decided that Ivalua's S2C solution, encompassing Supplier Risk and Performance Management, Sourcing, Contract Management, collaboration plans and program management modules, fit the bill. Remarkably, the platform was successfully implemented by Cyrias in less than three months.
With Ivalua, HDF Energy can optimise its upstream purchasing activities via standardised and automated searches. By digitising contract management, HDF Energy gains greater control over its operations. This has led to improved compliance and accelerated the time-to-value. Additionally, the transparency provided by the Ivalua platform will enable HDF to elevate collaboration levels with its supplier network.
Maud Van Phat, Project Director at HDF Energy, explained the significance of this transformation, "Centralising and digitising our sourcing and contract management operations with Ivalua will prove instrumental in maintaining the agility and flexibility that define HDF Energy while ensuring the quality of the sourcing process."
"We look forward to increasing collaboration levels with our suppliers and enhancing not only the resiliency but also the value of our supply chain which is critical to continuing to deliver innovative hydrogen solutions."
Kevin Bellanger, Project Director of Cyrias, expressed pride in Cyrias' support for HDF Energy's Source-to-Contract transformation. He highlighted the success of their project team in efficiently addressing customer needs and achieving the design, implementation, and delivery of a scalable solution in just three months.
Bellanger said, "Cyrias is proud to support HDF Energy's Source-to-Contract transformational journey. By focusing on effectively meeting our customers' needs, our project team managed to design, implement and deliver a scalable solution within three months."
"We are already working on additional functionalities to enable HDF Energy to reach its goals and provide sustainable energy for the generations to come."
Dan Amzallag, Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Ivalua, hailed the speedy and successful integration of the Ivalua platform at HDF Energy. "We are pleased to announce HDF Energy's rapid and successful implementation of the Ivalua platform enabled by the support and expertise of our partner, Cyrias."
"Ivalua is delighted to empower HDF Energy to optimise Source-to-Contract processes, strengthen supplier relationships and, ultimately, continue to pioneer sustainable solutions in the hydrogen industry," Amzallag said.
