Infinigate adds Bugcrowd to portfolio to boost cybersecurity in the UK & Ireland
Infinigate, a cybersecurity, secure networks and secure cloud specialist, has expanded its portfolio by including Bugcrowd, a collective of ethical hackers and AI-driven solutions. This partnership now enables immediate distribution of Bugcrowd's solutions in the United Kingdom and Ireland, with possible expansion throughout EMEA planned for a future date.
Bugcrowd operates through a network of ethical hackers and AI-powered systems, aiming to hinder potential cyber attackers while enabling rigorous and frequent testing. With this addition to its portfolio, Infinigate can now offer its partners the ability to provide their clients with straightforward access to such specialized services.
This most recent inclusion to Infinigate's vendor list demonstrates the company's continuing expansion, being the latest development following recently announced partnerships with entities such as WatchGuard and Anomali.
According to the company, Infinigate's agreement with Bugcrowd comes amid a high demand for services like Penetration Testing as a Service from resellers. This announcement is a significant milestone for Bugcrowd in its pursuit of becoming a 'channel-first' enterprise globally. According to Jason Cowie, VP of Global Channel Sales and Strategic Alliances at Bugcrowd, "This agreement accelerates the speed at which we can make our platform-based services accessible to anyone, anywhere."
Organisations are grappling with the impact of a major cybersecurity skills shortage. "Our collaboration with Infinigate will support their partners and help their customers extend their in-house cybersecurity expertise, complementing their existing resources," Cowie added. "Customers using Bugcrowd's platform and services have the ability to tap into vital human expertise, helping them to detect vulnerabilities and prevent attacks from occurring in the first place. Every new organisation using our platform and services signifies one less easy target for threat actors."
Lewis Dick, Alliances Director at Infinigate, shared the importance of Bugcrowd's services in the cybersecurity landscape. "Bugcrowd provides access to expert, CREST-Accredited Penetration Testing, fundamental in testing your defences against potential cyber-attacks. These services are in high demand as the risk profile increases due to the widening of the attack surface, while the global cyber skills shortage and cost considerations limit businesses' ability to hire in-house experts," he explained.
Dick also mentioned the significant potential for channel growth and proclaimed Penetration Testing as a Service (PTaaS) to be in the perfect stage of the hype cycle, predicting exponential growth.
The company says the scale of the cybersecurity workforce gap indicates the value of leveraging the immensely talented and creative hacker community via crowdsourcing, especially with the increasing need to proactively stay secure. The Bugcrowd Security Knowledge Platform is the only multi-solution security platform that powers pen testing as a service, bug bounty, vulnerability disclosure programs and attack surface management, thus placing the right creative human skill at the right problem at the right time.
