Klippa & 5edges partner to boost document automation
Klippa has signed a strategic partnership with Belgian digital solutions provider 5edges that adds Klippa's DocHorizon document processing platform to 5edges' portfolio for customers across Europe.
Under the agreement, 5edges will deploy DocHorizon across its client base as part of its work in document management, process automation and invoice processing. The companies said the combined offer covers document flows and data extraction for organisations that handle a mix of paper and digital files.
5edges said it works across three main service areas: document management systems and enterprise content management, process automation and business workflows, and invoice processing. Klippa positions DocHorizon as an intelligent document processing platform that reads and extracts information from different document types.
Document focus
The companies said the integration targets structured, semi-structured and unstructured sources. These can include paper documents that require scanning and classification before data extraction.
5edges said it will add DocHorizon to its existing set of software partners. The company already works with document management and invoicing suppliers including LASERFICHE and YOOZ.
Klippa said the partnership expands its European presence through a local partner with existing technology alliances and delivery experience in digital transformation projects.
DocHorizon will sit alongside 5edges' current products in document management and workflow automation. Klippa said the platform includes connectors and workflow integration options. The companies said the integration also extends compatibility to MS SharePoint and supports integration with client business applications and databases.
5edges said it will use DocHorizon in projects where organisations want to reduce manual steps in document handling and move more processes into automated workflows.
"We are excited to partner with 5edges to simplify digital transformation. Together, we're making it easier for organisations to move from manual paperwork to fully automated, data-driven workflows with a single, integrated solution," said Cheryl Barker, Head of Partnerships, Klippa.
Workflow automation
5edges said the partnership fits with its focus on document flows, automation, and invoice processing work. The company said it wants to combine its project and process expertise with Klippa's AI-based extraction and classification technology.
"We entered into a partnership with Klippa to further simplify digital transformation for our customers. By combining our expertise with Klippa's AI technology, we enable fully automated, intelligent workflows," said Christian Begaux, Founder, 5edges.
Begaux described the move as an expansion of what 5edges can deliver inside its existing ecosystem for customers.
"I've always been committed to delivering solutions that truly simplify our client's daily operations. Integrating Klippa's DocHorizon platform into our ecosystem represents a significant leap forward in what we can offer. This partnership allows us to combine our deep expertise in document management and process automation with DocHorizon's powerful AI-driven extraction capabilities, creating a seamless end-to-end solution for our clients," said Begaux.
Invoice processing remains a key use case for many document automation projects, particularly in organisations that still receive documents in varied formats across multiple channels. The companies said their combined approach covers capture, extraction and workflow steps as part of broader digital transformation programmes.
Next steps
Klippa and 5edges said they plan to explore further work in predictive analytics, expand cross-platform integrations and move into new industry verticals.
Klippa said it has more than 1,000 clients and a growing international footprint. 5edges said it delivers digital solutions from Belgium for organisations across Europe.
"At 5edges we're particularly excited about how this will help organizations across Europe accelerate their digital transformation journey-moving beyond simple digitization to intelligent automation that delivers real, measurable value. Together with Klippa, we're not just implementing technology; we're empowering our clients to work smarter and focus on what matters most to their business," said Begaux.
