Logpoint & Netheimur team up to enhance Icelandic security
Logpoint has entered into a strategic partnership with Netheimur, an Icelandic Managed Security Service Provider (MSSP), to enhance cybersecurity protection for organisations in Iceland.
Netheimur will introduce Logpoint's Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) system, providing Icelandic entities in both public and private sectors with a platform to detect threats. This system simplifies monitoring across on-premise, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), and cloud environments, allowing for improved system oversight.
This collaboration marks Logpoint's first foray into the Icelandic market and further expands Netheimur's offerings. Established in 1998, Netheimur delivers various technological, hosting, and security services, and is composed of a team possessing substantial technical expertise.
Ellert Kr Stefánsson, CEO at Netheimur, stated, "Threat actors work 24/7, and the ability to detect them quickly is important to stopping cyberattacks. Logpoint SIEM helps detect threats with effective log collection from various environments and a powerful search engine. With Logpoint, we can expand our cybersecurity solutions platform to make it easier for customers to focus on business development initiatives rather than worrying about missing system errors or cyberattacks."
Fredrik Jubran, Regional Manager for MSSPs at Logpoint, remarked, "Netheimur has a strong focus on enabling their customers through tailored solutions and support, which aligns closely with our ambition of making our customers as successful as possible in detecting threats. Together, we can give Icelandic organisations a solution that combines solid SIEM technology with Netheimur's expertise to help them stay safe in the current threat and geopolitical landscape."
Logpoint's approach to partnerships has recently seen the company join forces with several MSSPs across Europe, including SecurValue in Italy, Prianto in Germany, Advitum in Sweden, and G'Secure Labs operating in the Nordic region. These companies have recognised the effectiveness of the Logpoint SIEM system and the advantages of working with Logpoint.
The European Cybersecurity Sector 2024 survey conducted by Logpoint found that over 90% of MSSPs prefer security vendors capable of scaling, adapting, meeting GDPR compliance, providing EU-stored data solutions, and offering transparent pricing. There is also a preference for bundled offerings, with 94% of MSSPs showing an interest in comprehensive service packages.
To cater to evolving market demands, Logpoint has expanded its offerings, acquiring Muninn, a Danish Network Detection and Response (NDR) company. This acquisition enables Logpoint to enhance its cybersecurity services with improved network threat detection, leveraging artificial intelligence to identify threats directly within network infrastructures.
Logpoint continues to provide cybersecurity solutions that align with EU regulations, such as NIS 2 and GDPR, to ensure a safer digital environment for its clients across various regions.
