ManageEngine's Log360 evolves into security analytics hub

Today

ManageEngine has announced that Log360, its solution for security information and event management (SIEM) and IT compliance, has evolved into a security analytics platform.

The evolution of Log360's capabilities began last year with several enhancements laying the groundwork for future developments. These included proactive threat detection through the monitoring of dark web activities, enhanced alert investigation capabilities, and a sophisticated correlation engine for complex threat identification. These advancements are intended to transform security operations into a strategic asset rather than a financial burden.

According to Manikandan Thangaraj, Vice President at ManageEngine, "A platform isn't defined by just what it does today, but by what it enables tomorrow. With Log360 evolving as a platform, we're empowering customers and partners to innovate on top of our foundation—whether integrating cutting-edge AI models or niche compliance frameworks. This ecosystem-driven approach turns security from a cost centre into a strategic enabler."

Log360 now provides users with unified threat management, streamlined through a single interface that consolidates security data and simplifies the process of threat detection and response. This is intended to reduce the complexity security teams face and eliminates the need to manage multiple tools and dashboards.

Furthermore, Log360 offers extensive customisability via API-driven integrations, allowing managed security service providers, system integrators, and enterprises to tailor their security workflows to unique challenges. This customisation supports rapid technology adoption, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, keeping it current with the latest developments in threat detection.

ManageEngine aims to foster a secure and collaborative environment through Log360's feature, which facilitates industry-specific threat intelligence sharing. This allows smaller teams to benefit from shared community knowledge, and the ManageEngine Marketplace offers public access to extensions and data connectors to improve incident response.

In terms of compliance, Log360 is designed to be agile, allowing for quick updates to meet new regulatory requirements without the typical delays seen with conventional vendor solutions. ManageEngine plans to further enhance Log360 through partnerships, such as the new collaboration with Sacumen, which specialises in cybersecurity product engineering and services.

Nitesh Sinha, CEO and Founder of Sacumen, commented, "Our partnership with ManageEngine reflects our shared vision: empowering enterprises with comprehensive and integrated security solutions. Sacumen's contribution lies in building the crucial bridges—the connectors—that allow Log360 to seamlessly interact with the broader security ecosystem, maximising its value for customers. ManageEngine's platform approach coupled with Sacumen's expertise in connector development breaks down the data silos, providing unified visibility and streamlined integration, empowering enterprises to move beyond reactive security and embrace a proactive, data-driven defence."

Log360 is available in both cloud and on-premises versions, with the cloud offering four different editions: Basic, Standard, Professional, and MSSP. Pricing begins at USD $300 annually for the Basic cloud edition, with on-premises deployments starting at USD $1,540.
