Nicolas Schwarzpaul appointed new CEO of dataglobal Group

Wed, 17th Jul 2024

The dataglobal Group has announced a significant change in its management, with Nicolas Schwarzpaul being appointed as the new CEO, effective from 1 July 2024. Schwarzpaul, an experienced manager in the IT industry, is set to take over from Dr Christian Uhl, who is stepping down from the position at his own request.

Schwarzpaul brings a wealth of experience to the role, having recently served as CEO of GEDAT, a software company focusing on personnel service providers. In this role, he led the company to operational excellence and sustainable growth, particularly in the cloud business. He also has a history of managing successful mergers, as evidenced by his time as Head of Sales and Managing Director at P&I AG in Wiesbaden.

In a statement about his new role, Schwarzpaul said, "I am passionate about leading the dataglobal Group with a clear focus and innovative solutions to achieve its goals. We want to become a leading provider on the European market for digital workplace solutions. It is important to me to take the people in the company with me, to inspire them and to support them in their professional development."

The dataglobal Group, headquartered in Heilbronn, has built a reputation for providing high-performance software solutions for the digital workplace. The company aims to drive digital transformation through its established solutions for enterprise content management (ECM), business process management (BPM), resource management, and mail security.

The company's extensive portfolio includes well-known brands such as dataglobal CS, eXpurgate, windream, and vysoft. The group itself was formed from the merger of four successful companies, making it a significant player in the digital workplace solutions market. With Schwarzpaul at the helm, the group is looking to build on this legacy.

Schwarzpaul sees great potential in the dataglobal Group's current and future offerings. "With its widely established products and thousands of customers, the dataglobal Group has enormous potential in the digital workplace sector. Together with our partners and by combining our products and skills, we can realise many new solutions that practically implement use cases," he said.

The company aims to grow organically and through targeted acquisitions. One recent example is the acquisition of vykon, a company specializing in resource management solutions, which was announced in May. This acquisition allows the dataglobal Group to expand its digital workplace concept to include resource-efficient management of office desks, meeting rooms, car parks, and other facilities, thus integrating digital and analogue workspaces.

As the new CEO, Schwarzpaul is expected to focus on enhancing synergies within the company and prioritising innovative solutions that cater to an evolving digital workplace landscape. His leadership is anticipated to drive the next stage of the company's development, positioning the dataglobal Group as a leading provider in Europe.

The dataglobal Group continues to underscore its commitment to driving digital transformation with robust software solutions. The change in leadership comes at a pivotal time for the company, as it seeks to consolidate its position in the market and explore new growth opportunities under Schwarzpaul's guidance.
