OneAdvanced launches IQ Chat for regulated sector users
Tue, 6th Oct 2026 (Today)
OneAdvanced has launched IQ Chat, a conversational interface for its enterprise software, as part of the latest IQ release.
The interface is designed to let users find information and complete tasks in natural language within the software they already use, rather than switching between separate applications or external AI tools.
The launch sits within the Intelligent Experience layer of IQ, which brings together artificial intelligence, organisational knowledge, data and reporting in a single interface. The wider release also adds multi-model AI, enterprise search, memory functions, agentic workflows and self-service analytics.
The Birmingham-based software provider sells sector-focused products for regulated industries including healthcare, education, legal services and wholesale distribution. The latest release extends AI-related functions into workflows including clinical consultations, practice data, apprenticeship reviews, legal administration, payroll and workforce analytics.
Inside IQ
According to OneAdvanced, IQ Chat is intended to give organisations a governed route to wider AI use across staff groups. That approach could reduce employees' use of unauthorised consumer AI tools outside approved systems.
The product is part of OneAdvanced's broader IQ platform, introduced earlier this year as what it describes as an intelligent system of work. The latest release develops that strategy by changing how users interact with software while leaving underlying workflows in place.
Other elements in the update include "Skills", which OneAdvanced describes as packaged expertise tailored to the tasks, terminology and standards of specific organisations and sectors. The release also supports text, document and image-based interactions across different AI models, and includes search functions grounded in a customer's own data and knowledge.
Memory and personalisation features are also included, with the system designed to retain user context across sessions. The expanded IQ Data Platform now connects more organisational data into the wider system.
Regulated sectors
OneAdvanced has placed particular emphasis on regulated and essential service markets, where data controls and governance are often central to software buying decisions. Its platform is built for sectors where operational processes are closely tied to compliance requirements and service delivery.
That focus reflects the company's position in the UK software market, where it supplies sector-specific software to organisations ranging from health and care providers to schools, colleges, law firms and supply chain operators. It says its products are used in workflows that affect large numbers of end users and citizens.
Marko Perisic, Chief Product Officer at OneAdvanced, said: "As AI becomes more deeply embedded into everyday work, the next step is to remove complexity between people, what they're trying to achieve and technology. People shouldn't have to think about which application to open or system to navigate - they should be able to ask for what they need and get on with their work.
"That's the idea behind Intelligent Experience. Ultimately, we're moving towards a world where people can simply express the outcome they need, and the technology orchestrates the work behind it."
Broader shift
The release reflects a wider push by business software suppliers to bring generative AI into established products rather than requiring customers to adopt separate tools. For vendors serving regulated sectors, the commercial argument often centres on keeping AI interactions within existing governance frameworks and internal data environments.
IQ Chat is intended to act as a single place where users can ask questions, create content, organise work and access reporting. In practice, the interface sits on top of workflows customers already use, linking users to relevant information and system functions through conversation.
OneAdvanced's direction of travel is towards more agentic software experiences, where users express the result they want and the system handles the process behind the scenes. The current release adds agentic workflows as part of that development, alongside search and analytics features tied to internal organisational data.
OneAdvanced is one of the larger UK providers of sector-focused software and has spent more than three decades building products for industries with specialist requirements. The latest IQ release places conversational AI at the centre of that strategy, with a particular focus on how staff access information and complete tasks within existing business systems.
