Oracle has launched Startup Growth Engine, a programme for venture-backed technology companies within its Oracle PartnerNetwork.

The initiative is aimed at startups developing products on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and seeking access to larger corporate buyers. Eligible participants can receive cloud credits, technical support, marketing assistance and the option to list products on Oracle Marketplace.

Oracle is targeting high-growth businesses building next-generation applications, including artificial intelligence tools. The scheme is intended to address common startup obstacles such as infrastructure costs, technical complexity and the difficulty of selling into large enterprises.

Startup Growth Engine includes a one-year Oracle PartnerNetwork membership at no cost for eligible companies. Participants may also receive funding for technical and business assessments, depending on eligibility and programme terms.

Those assessments can help companies develop, train and scale AI workloads or review infrastructure needs. Oracle engineers will also provide direct support to help companies design, implement and refine products on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Marketplace route

A central element of the programme is access to Oracle Marketplace, where partners can publish products and services if they meet the relevant requirements. The marketplace gives participating companies exposure to tens of thousands of Oracle customers looking for cloud and AI products.

Oracle Marketplace serves as a single location where customers can compare and deploy third-party services. For startups, it offers a route into procurement processes that can otherwise be hard to access without an established enterprise sales network.

The programme also includes support for go-to-market work and Oracle-run marketing campaigns. This could help participants shorten sales cycles, lower migration and infrastructure costs, and enter new markets through Oracle's existing commercial channels.

Partner strategy

Startup Growth Engine forms part of Oracle's broader effort to expand its partner ecosystem. The enhanced Oracle PartnerNetwork is designed to give partners more flexibility through multiple pathways and a wider set of benefits covering training, technical support and joint sales activity.

The focus on startups reflects wider competition among cloud providers to attract early-stage software companies, particularly those building AI products that require substantial computing resources. Access to credits and engineering support has become a common tool in that contest, but Oracle is also emphasising commercial access through its customer base and marketplace.

By tying startup support to its partner programme, Oracle is seeking to bring younger software vendors into the same ecosystem as its broader applications and industry offerings. Participating businesses can combine their own specialist products with Oracle's sector-focused software to address customer needs in specific industries.

Cormac Watters, Executive Vice President and General Manager, EMEA, Oracle, linked the launch to the commercial challenges faced by fast-growing software companies.

"High-growth technology companies need more than great ideas - they need the infrastructure, expertise, and market access to turn innovation into commercial success," said Cormac Watters, Executive Vice President and General Manager, EMEA, Oracle.

"Oracle Startup Growth Engine brings these capabilities together to help technology innovators develop and scale their solutions, reach new customers, and turn innovation into measurable business results," Watters said.
