Park Place Technologies has received a fourth Powered by Nutanix: Verified Solutions badge for its Sovereign Cloud service, adding to earlier badges for three other cloud services.

The latest badge covers the company's Sovereign Cloud offering, which has been reviewed against Nutanix technical and operational criteria. The service is aimed at organisations seeking more control over where data is held, how it is governed and how operational risk is managed.

The award extends Park Place's existing Nutanix verifications for its Dedicated Private Cloud, Multi-Tenant Private Cloud and Disaster Recovery as a Service products. Together, the badges provide broad validation of the company's cloud portfolio across several deployment models.

The recognition comes as companies reconsider infrastructure choices amid changing requirements around sovereignty, hybrid cloud and virtualisation. Businesses are weighing how to modernise systems while meeting regulatory and commercial demands, while service providers are trying to show their offerings align with recognised platform standards.

Park Place delivers the sovereign cloud service through its xCloud platform, which also supports virtual machines, containers and AI workloads under a single control framework. Customers can choose between dedicated private cloud, multi-tenant cloud, disaster recovery and sovereign cloud models based on workload and compliance needs.

Nutanix runs the Verified Solutions programme to identify service provider offerings assessed against its design and operational guidelines. For customers, the badge indicates that a service has been evaluated for alignment with Nutanix platform practices, rather than certifying performance or compliance outcomes.

Market shift

The development comes as many enterprises reassess long-term cloud and virtualisation strategies. Some are reviewing hybrid models, while others are looking for alternatives that allow tighter control over data location and infrastructure operations.

In that context, sovereign cloud has moved higher up the agenda for boards and technology leaders. Demand has grown for cloud environments that support modern workloads without giving up oversight of governance arrangements and jurisdictional issues.

Park Place argues that independently reviewed deployment options can help reduce risk for customers making infrastructure changes. Its view is that external validation offers an extra level of assurance for organisations trying to avoid disruption during modernisation programmes.

Sachin Chheda, Vice President, Business Development and Strategic Partnerships at Nutanix, commented on the latest verification. "We're pleased that Park Place Technologies Sovereign Cloud offering has achieved the 'Powered by Nutanix: Verified Solutions' badge," Chheda said. "By combining Nutanix's proven software platform with Park Place Technologies' innovation, we're proud to enable a new generation of cloud services that are differentiated and unlock new value for customers, with the assurance that these solutions have been evaluated in accordance with Nutanix program criteria."

Cloud portfolio

For Park Place, the fourth badge adds to a cloud business that sits alongside its wider IT infrastructure services operation. The company says it generates annual revenue of USD $1.2 billion, employs 3,300 people and serves more than 25,000 organisations in 180 countries.

Its broader business includes hardware maintenance, software technical support, hardware procurement and infrastructure management services. That installed base gives it a route to sell cloud products to customers already using the group for support and operations.

Park Place also positions the xCloud platform as a way to offer different deployment paths under one umbrella. Customers can place workloads in environments that fit security, compliance and cost requirements rather than commit to a single model across all applications.

Kevin Kenning, General Manager, Cloud Solutions at Park Place Technologies, said the latest badge reflects how customers are approaching infrastructure decisions. "Organisations are increasingly looking for proven partners that can help them simplify infrastructure, reduce complexity, and maintain control over where and how their workloads run," Kenning said. "Achieving four 'Powered by Nutanix: Verified Solutions' badges demonstrates the maturity of our cloud portfolio and our continued investment in delivering trusted platforms that help customers scale and modernize with confidence."
