Probax launches MSP Backup in collaboration with Veeam and Wasabi Technologies
Data protection software provider, Probax, has announced the launch of their latest backup management platform developed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs): MSP Backup.
The launch also includes a standalone, MSP Backup for Microsoft 365, and is the result of partnerships with Veeam and Wasabi Technologies. The aim of these platforms is to serve Small-to-Medium-Sized Businesses (SMBs) with an affordable, efficient, and scalable backup solution. The MSP Backup merges the superior capabilities of the Veeam Data Platform with the performance of Wasabi hot cloud storage.
The platform is built on Probax's automation technology, allowing MSPs to offer enterprise-grade data protection to SMBs without the complexity and operational costs usually associated with high-quality data protection solutions. MSP Backup provides a seamless integration between advanced technology and simplified, cost-effective cloud storage and deployment procedures.
Among its key features, MSP Backup provides simplified and automated Backup as a Service (BaaS) deployment, powerful data protection for Microsoft 365, and flexible solutions tailored to MSPs.
These include All-In-One (AIO) plans with Veeam licensing and Wasabi storage, or Bring-Your-Own (BYO) plans for those using their own Veeam licences and/or Wasabi Hot Cloud Storage. Furthermore, MSP Backup has enhanced ransomware protection to ensure client data safety, proactive issue management, unified backup management, enhanced monitoring and reporting, and transparent monthly pricing with no lock-ins.
Probax CEO Tim Smith stated: "Probax is fundamentally transforming data protection for MSPs and their end-user clients. With Veeam being the undisputed leader in data protection, year after year Probax is recognised as #1 in Veeam innovation."
"We're delighted to launch the next phase of Probax's innovative proprietary technology to enable SMB-focused MSPs to connect Veeam's latest Direct to Object Storage capabilities with Wasabi's scalable and affordable cloud storage, while leveraging extensive benefits that add real value to their business."
Veeam's VP Global Sales and GTM, Matt Kalmenson also said: "Veeam is on a mission to help every organisation to not just bounce back from a data outage or loss but bounce forward. We do this by enabling them to achieve radical resilience through data security, data recovery, and data freedom."
"It's great to see Probax providing MSPs with a future-proofed integration between Veeam and Wasabi that enables them to help small to medium sized business to be resilient against any potential data loss or cyber attack."
Senior Vice President, Global Partner Marketing at Wasabi Technologies, Laurie Mitchell added: "With the Direct to Object Storage functionality released in Veeam v12, MSPs can easily and efficiently deliver end-to-end immutability for their SMB clients thanks to Probax MSP Backup."
"Wasabi is excited to integrate into this world-first solution that seamlessly unifies Veeam's Enterprise strength with Wasabi's leading-edge cloud efficiency and high-performance."
