Realise Music launches VR singing game on Meta Quest with 1m tracks
Realise Music has launched its new music-based singing game, Realise Music: Sing, on the Meta Quest platform, offering users access to a large catalogue of officially licensed songs from Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Beggars Group.
The app is supported by music technology provider Tuned Global, which supplies the backend infrastructure for catalogue delivery and lyric integration.
Extensive music library
At launch, Realise Music: Sing features more than one million licensed tracks. The selection covers a wide array of genres, including pop, rock, R&B, soul, and much more, with music stretching across decades. New songs will be added every week as licensing agreements allow.
According to the company, the app invites both confident singers and complete beginners to participate, using interactive VR environments that respond in real time to users' voices. These reactive worlds change with pitch and rhythm through light, motion, and colour effects, with lyrics delivered word-by-word in sync with the chosen song.
Wellness and creativity
The premise of the app is rooted in research showing the physiological and emotional benefits of singing. The act of singing can stimulate the vagus nerve, encourage relaxation, lower blood pressure, and release neurochemicals related to happiness and connection. In addition to free play, users can monitor their progress through metrics that reflect mindful creativity and offer a game-like structure.
Flexible access options let users preview songs at no cost, purchase individual tracks or albums, or subscribe for unlimited access. The introductory subscription price is set at USD $9.99 per month for the first two months, increasing to USD $14.99 per month or USD $119.99 per year.
Technology integration
To deliver its catalogue and regular updates, Realise Music relies on Tuned Global's platform. Tuned Global provides music APIs, catalogue ingestion tools, CMS solutions, and integrated lyric support. This backend enables the app to quickly add new songs, comply with rights management and reporting, and scale across future platforms.
The integration includes real-time catalogue delivery from major and independent labels, and ensures the infrastructure is prepared for planned expansions, including a PC gaming version scheduled for 2026. Tuned Global also supports reporting requirements for rights holders as new music is incorporated into the app.
Expansion plans
Realise Music: Sing is currently available on Meta Quest, with plans to launch on additional platforms, including a Steam PC version in 2026. The company is positioning the game to extend beyond virtual reality, targeting users interested in interactive music and wellness experiences through various digital channels.
"We wanted to give players access to the songs that truly move them. With over a million fully-licensed tracks at launch, new music every week, and more ways to sing than ever before, this is the most complete and fun music-based wellness experience ever created," said Mark Roemer, CEO, Realise Music.
"We've always believed that games can help people feel better, not just entertained. Sing is about rediscovering joy without judgment or pressure, through the simple act of raising your own voice and watching the world respond. It's the kind of project I've always hoped to finish my career on, and I hope it inspires other creators to focus their energies on beneficial media," said Mike Wilson, Co-Founder, Realise Music: Sing.
"Realise Music: Sing is a breakthrough moment for music-driven wellbeing. We're proud to support the Realise Music team with innovative music technology that empowers their vision and brings it to life in such an exciting way. From licensed catalogue delivery to lyrics and reporting, Sing shows what becomes possible when creativity, wellness, and responsible music innovation come together," said Con Raso, CEO, Tuned Global.
