SER acquires AFI Solutions to boost SAP automation

SER Group has announced the acquisition of AFI Solutions, a company that specialises in digitising and optimising document-centric processes within SAP.

This acquisition aligns with SER's strategic initiatives to enhance SAP document automation expertise. AFI Solutions is known for its work in SAP purchase-to-pay (P2P) and order-to-cash (O2C) processes and boasts a team of over 100 SAP experts. As a result, the acquisition is expected to advance SER's Smart Content vision, supporting enterprises in automating complex document processes.

Dr. John Bates, CEO of SER Group, commented, "We see huge potential here, joining with our new colleagues from AFI to meet the requirements of global enterprise SAP customers as they undertake significant modernisation programs – moving to the cloud, upgrading their SAP platforms, connecting SAP to other enterprise apps, and overall taking advantage of AI and automation to increase agility and reduce the costs of 'content chaos.'"

SER Group plans to establish a new global SAP Center of Excellence, utilising the expertise of AFI's team to support its clients better. Notably, over 70% of SER's current customer base uses SAP, underscoring the strategic nature of this acquisition.

The acquisition also follows SER Group's recent purchase of Klippa, marking a period of significant expansion for the company. Both acquisitions complement SER's recognition as a leader in the recent publication of the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Document Management.
