Targa Telematics & Toyota Motors Europe join forces
Targa Telematics partnered with Toyota Motors Europe to enhance its connected mobility solutions using integrated fleet data from Toyota and Lexus vehicles.
This collaboration facilitates directly incorporating data from Toyota and Lexus models into Targa Telematics' platform. Fleet managers will benefit from services like mileage monitoring, fuel consumption analysis, EV data insights, and GPS positioning without needing extra hardware.
Targa Telematics underscores its intention to solidify its role in carmaker data management through strategic partnerships with car manufacturers. Integrating fleet data from Toyota and Lexus is pivotal to this strategy, particularly across Europe.
Alberto Falcione, Vice President for Sales at Targa Telematics, commented on the partnership, "The collaborations we are pursuing with car manufacturers are aimed at delivering innovative mobility services, developed through the integration of data streams from vehicles equipped with OEM devices, thereby reducing the operational impacts associated with the installations of aftermarket solutions."
Falcione outlined the objectives: "The objectives are to overcome the very high degree of complexity linked to the necessary integration and homogenization of data flows and to make these available for the development of solutions provided through the digital platforms of Targa Telematics."
"These solutions will be tailored to meet the needs of the client, ensuring cost-effectiveness, while guaranteeing definite and optimal outcomes with the deployment of solutions in minimal times and with the improvement of processes tied to customer operations and the services provided by Targa Telematics itself."
The services are set to become available in numerous European countries, including France, Italy, the UK, and Germany.
With the integration, Targa Telematics aims to offer fleet managers and drivers a wider range of digital services, enhancing how these services are provided in vehicles. This initiative follows similar agreements with other major automakers.
