TP-Link unveils new UK distribution hub in Newbury
TP-Link has officially launched its largest National Distribution Centre for the UK and Ireland in Newbury.
The new warehouse spans 72,000 square feet and represents a substantial investment. Its storage capacity has increased by 50% compared to previous facilities. This expansion aims to facilitate faster order fulfilment and improved service offerings for internet service providers (ISPs), retailers, and other businesses.
Enhancements in the facility's logistics operations are expected to improve lead times and stock availability. The centre is projected to reduce goods handling time by 62% and resource usage by 66%, ensuring streamlined operations. This development will enhance supply chain reliability and responsiveness to market demands.
In addition, the Newbury site features new service capabilities aimed at ISPs, such as direct fulfilment and pre-configured product deliveries. These offerings are designed to enable a seamless end-user experience, with products ready for immediate use upon delivery.
Managing Director at TP-Link UK, Nelson Qiao, said, "At TP-Link, innovation is not just about technology but also about delivering a better customer experience for our partners and customers. This new facility allows us to work faster, stock more and support businesses, retailers and ISPs like never before - helping them stay ahead of constantly changing market demands."
The facility also includes a demo room designed to support training and accreditation for TP-Link's clientele. This initiative ensures that customers can access the latest insights and practical support, promoting a better understanding of TP-Link's product offerings.
TP-Link prioritises future-proofing, and the Newbury centre has been structured with potential for two additional expansion phases. This provision demonstrates the company's preparedness to adapt to increasing demands shortly.
