Westcon-Comstor expands with new CrowdStrike AWS deal

Wed, 19th Feb 2025

Westcon-Comstor has announced a new agreement with CrowdStrike aimed at enabling channel partners in Europe to access growth prospects through the CrowdStrike Falcon cybersecurity platform on AWS Marketplace.

This collaboration allows partners in Europe to benefit from CrowdStrike's strong AWS Marketplace presence. Partners can purchase from Westcon-Comstor through private listings and sell directly to customers on AWS Marketplace. This process is designed to be seamless and end-to-end within the platform.

Westcon-Comstor will utilise its cloud marketplace expertise to assist partners with AWS Marketplace setup, training, and enablement as part of its advisory services. Additionally, the distributor will support partners in obtaining authorised Channel Partner Private Offer (CPPO) status.

A Canalys report recently projected that over 50% of hyperscaler marketplace sales will arise through channel partners by 2027. To meet this growing demand, Westcon-Comstor is expanding its AWS Marketplace programme with a new team dedicated to facilitating partner growth in AWS Marketplace.

This agreement marks an extension of the strategic partnership between CrowdStrike and Westcon-Comstor, who already have distribution agreements in multiple markets across Europe and beyond.

In recognition of its efforts, Westcon-Comstor received the 2024 CrowdStrike Global Distributor Partner of the Year award for exceptional performance in promoting the CrowdStrike Falcon platform across its network of over 12,000 channel partners in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia-Pacific regions.

Westcon-Comstor has recently incorporated AWS integrations into its 3D Lab, allowing partners to explore the functionality of native AWS services combined with CrowdStrike and other cybersecurity solutions in a secure virtual demo environment.

Rene Klein, Executive Vice President, Europe at Westcon-Comstor, commented, "We're excited to be broadening the scope of our strategic relationship with CrowdStrike through this agreement. AWS Marketplace makes it easy for businesses to find, test, buy, and deploy software, to the extent that it's reshaping the procurement behaviour of end-users from enterprises to SMBs. Enabling partners to capitalise on this trend creates huge opportunities across the value chain, while cementing the role of the channel in the cloud marketplace economy."

John Taylor, VP of Alliances, Europe at CrowdStrike, said, "CrowdStrike's relationship with AWS continues to transform how organisations and partners build and secure their businesses in the cloud. Our collaboration with Westcon-Comstor is an exciting next step, empowering channel partners to drive growth and success on AWS Marketplace while enabling customers to seamlessly adopt and standardise on the industry-leading Falcon platform."

Partners interested in learning more about leveraging their CrowdStrike AWS Marketplace potential are invited to register for an upcoming Westcon-Comstor webinar.
