Westcon-Comstor launches Tech Insights for EMEA partners

Thu, 5th Feb 2026

Westcon-Comstor has launched Tech Insights, a free programme for channel partners across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. It focuses on identifying gaps in customers' security posture and assessing their readiness to use data in AI-related projects.

The programme offers partners a rapid assessment process and produces customer-ready outputs. Westcon-Comstor positions Tech Insights to support consultative discussions and generate follow-on project work.

Security And AI

Tech Insights focuses on security, health, and configuration reviews, as well as AI data readiness checks. It provides a snapshot of issues and prioritised recommendations.

The approach covers cloud, identity, application and data security, and enables customers to review gaps without disrupting live environments.

Tech Insights also includes an optional validation element, allowing multi-vendor solutions to be tested in real-world scenarios.

Standards Alignment

Assessments align with industry standards, including GDPR and the NIS2 Directive. This gives partners a basis for budget discussions that link spending to specific gaps identified during the assessment.

The launch comes as organisations face growing pressure to strengthen cyber risk management while also working through how to deploy AI tools and workflows. For resellers and service providers, assessments are often an entry point into broader security and cloud projects, particularly when buyers want evidence of risk and clear sequencing of remedial work.

Westcon-Comstor presents Tech Insights as a structured way for partners to identify needs across customers' IT environments. The outputs are tailored for end customers and designed for use in active sales engagements.

Partner Focus

Tech Insights is available to Westcon-Comstor partners across EMEA. The distributor describes it as part of a broader effort to add services around its core role of supplying vendor technology through the channel.

Westcon-Comstor operates across cybersecurity, networking and hybrid cloud, working with resellers, systems integrators and service providers. It operates in more than 50 countries and goes to market through the Westcon, Comstor and Rebura lines of business.

The company has been building a portfolio of partner services in the region. Tech Insights sits alongside 3D Lab, a virtual solution demonstration environment, and Intelligent Demand, which it describes as an analytics-led sales programme. It also runs Tech Xpert, a peer-to-peer knowledge-sharing community for partners.

Distributors have been expanding service layers as vendor portfolios grow more complex and partners seek repeatable ways to scope work and demonstrate value. In cybersecurity, buyers often want a clear view of risk, a prioritised remediation path, and a way to compare options across suppliers and architectures. In AI-related projects, organisations also face questions about data governance, access controls and the security implications of integrating new tools with existing systems.

Westcon-Comstor says Tech Insights addresses these needs through expert-led assessments. Partners can use the output to progress deals and identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities in services and other offerings.

Geert Busse, Solutions Architect Director EMEA, Go-To-Market at Westcon-Comstor, linked the programme to the quality of partner-customer engagement.

"Tech Insights makes it easier than ever for partners to add value by having strategic, informed conversations with their customers," Busse said.

He added: "By unlocking deeper insight into customers' IT landscapes across cybersecurity, AI and cloud, partners can open new doors, progress deals and position themselves as trusted advisors. We're excited to bring Tech Insights to market and see the positive impact it will have for partners, elevating their strategic positioning with customers while unlocking new growth opportunities at pace."
