Westcon expands Vectra AI partnership to UK, Ireland, Nordics

Thu, 16th May 2024

Global technology provider and specialist distributor Westcon-Comstor has announced a significant expansion of its partnership with Vectra AI, a company that specialises in hybrid attack detection, investigation, and response, into the United Kingdom and Ireland, as well as into the Nordic territories of Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway.

The agreement looks to drive the adoption of Vectra's AI-driven threat detection and response platform in to these new markets, as well as foster new revenue opportunities for channel partners.

This development broadens existing distribution agreements between Westcon and Vectra in other European territories including Germany, France, Spain, Austria, Portugal, and Benelux. It's a strategic move following Vectra's launch of the Vectra MXDR (Managed Extended Detection and Response) service earlier in the year. Like its parent platform, Vectra MXDR integrates seamlessly with products from other Westcon vendors, extending its interoperability features.

The new agreement provides a significant opportunity for channel partners to leverage Vectra technology in combination with other key elements of the Westcon portfolio. This will be facilitated via the distributor's 3D Lab, a virtual demo environment that allows multi-vendor security solutions to be tested against specific use cases.

Daniel Hurel, Vice President of Cyber Security & Next Gen Solutions EMEA at Westcon-Comstor, expressed his enthusiasm about the expanded collaboration. "Vectra AI is one of our key growth vendors so it's exciting to be broadening the scope of our collaboration to new markets within Europe," he said. Expressing confidence in Vectra's innovative portfolio, he added, "We look forward to bringing Vectra's innovative, AI-driven portfolio to new addressable markets, driving growth for our partners through our value-added services and education and enablement programmes."

On the other side of the partnership, Jerome Jullien, Vice President of Channel Sales EMEA, Vectra AI, echoed Hurel's excitement. Explaining the value of the partnership, he said, "Westcon's security expertise and channel reach are crucial in our mission to empower end-users to proactively stop advanced attacks." He further emphasised the benefits this expansion brings, stating: "Expanding this partnership means Vectra AI's detection capabilities reach new markets, benefiting customers and creating exciting opportunities for our channel partners."

The proactive advancement of sophisticated threat detection and response tools is crucial in today's world, where cyber threats continue to increase in frequency and sophistication. With Westcon-Comstor's extended collaboration with Vectra AI, businesses in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and the Nordics can look forward to enhanced access to innovative AI-driven security solutions.
