AnywhereNow says Tendfor has been certified for the Microsoft Teams Unify Integration Model. The certification applies to its Teams-based contact centre product.

It is intended to make Tendfor easier to integrate with Microsoft Teams calling as Microsoft develops its model for customer engagement software within the Teams environment. The certification also gives customers and partners assurance that the product remains aligned with Microsoft's direction for independent software vendors in the Teams contact centre market.

Tendfor is part of AnywhereNow's product portfolio and is designed for organisations that manage customer and employee conversations within Microsoft Teams. The software combines contact centre and attendant functions in the same workspace, allowing staff to use familiar Teams tools and workflows instead of switching between systems.

The product supports live customer engagement, internal communications, call handling, reception processes, operational oversight and service delivery for distributed organisations. The certification follows a validation process in which Tendfor worked with Microsoft on its technical approach and provided feedback as the Unify model evolved.

Teams focus

The announcement highlights Microsoft Teams' growing role as a platform for third-party customer service and call management products. Suppliers in this area have been adapting their software to fit Microsoft's preferred integration model, which is designed to bring contact centre functions more directly into Teams.

For AnywhereNow, the certification helps position Tendfor within that framework while maintaining support for the communications features current users rely on. It says it will continue working with Microsoft on further developments tied to the programme.

AnywhereNow describes itself as a provider of customer experience software built for the Microsoft Teams ecosystem. Its wider product set includes tools for dialogue management, virtual agents and AI-based interaction analysis, alongside Tendfor's contact centre and reception offering.

Luke Orlandini, Head of Partnerships at AnywhereNow, said the certification marks an important stage for the product and its users. "Being Certified for Microsoft Teams Unify Integration Model is an important milestone for Tendfor and the customers and partners who rely on our platform," Orlandini said.

He added: "The certification provides confidence that Tendfor is aligned with Microsoft's future direction while continuing to support the communication capabilities organisations use today. As Microsoft continues to evolve the Unify model, we will continue working closely with customers, partners and Microsoft to ensure Tendfor remains aligned with that roadmap."

Microsoft backing

Microsoft also commented on the certification and its role in connecting customer engagement software to Teams. It presented Tendfor as an example of how contact centre and attendant software can sit within the collaboration platform many organisations use every day.

"Tendfor adds value for customers by integrating contact centre and attendant capabilities with Microsoft Teams," said Albert Kooiman, General Manager, Partner Engineering and Customer Experiences at Microsoft.

He added: "Certification for Microsoft Teams Unify Integration Model simplifies bringing customer engagement capabilities like Tendfor into Microsoft Teams as the collaboration tool that organisations use every day."

The certification gives AnywhereNow a formal endorsement tied to Microsoft's integration model at a time when software vendors serving Teams users are under pressure to stay close to Microsoft's product roadmap. For customers already using Teams as their main collaboration and calling environment, that alignment can influence software purchasing decisions, especially when contact handling and front-desk functions need to sit within the same platform.

By securing the certification, Tendfor strengthens its position in a market where interoperability with Teams has become a core requirement rather than an added feature. Through the certification process, Tendfor worked with Microsoft to validate its approach and provide feedback as the Unify model develops.
