Twilio has announced AUTO1 Group as the recipient of its 2025 EMEA Star Builder Award. The award, judged by Twilio executives, highlights technology companies in the EMEA region that have demonstrated effective application of Twilio solutions and significant business impact.
Judging criteria
The judging panel assessed companies based on their ability to solve complex business challenges with technology, the scale and durability of their impact, and their ability to foster a 'builder' culture internally. This year's entries came from across Europe, reflecting a broad adoption of Twilio's platform in customer engagement and workflow automation.
AUTO1 Group deployment
Based in Germany, AUTO1 Group operates digital platforms supporting used car trading professionals throughout Continental Europe. The company has integrated Twilio's messaging, voice, and WhatsApp APIs to automate customer interactions. This automation has reduced response times and allowed for more personalised communication with customers. AUTO1 Group has also implemented Twilio Verify to strengthen trust and security across its digital marketplace, aiming to prevent fraud while retaining streamlined user experiences.
The decision to roll out Twilio's APIs and verification tools supports AUTO1 Group's objectives of achieving consistency, scalability, and reliability in every market it serves. These technologies underpin communications and security across its pan-European network.
Recognition for runners-up
Two further companies were recognised as runners-up. Iglu Cruise, the UK's largest independent cruise agent, has built an omnichannel contact centre experience using Twilio Flex, deployed via Ciptex RACE. Integration with payment platforms enables Iglu Cruise to offer personalised, multi-channel communication to customers, supporting engagement and conversion.
Immobiliare, a real estate platform connecting Italian estate agents and developers with prospective buyers, was also commended. The company's use of Twilio Segment has led to substantial acceleration of feature rollouts for its website and mobile app. Leveraging Segment data to trigger and manage AI-driven workflows and agents, Immobiliare has streamlined its product development process.
