Elevate boosts fibre expertise with Senko partnership & training
Elevate has enhanced its multi-fibre push-on (MPO) connectivity expertise through advanced training delivered by Senko Advanced Components to its Config Team.
Elevate, a brand from Excel Networking Solutions focused on the EMEA data centre market, has prioritised technical proficiency and robust partnerships since its launch. Senko's fibre optic connectivity technology forms the basis of Elevate's high-performance MPO offering, providing the platform for this technical collaboration.
MPO training and technical standards
The advanced Senko training covered all aspects of MPO best practice, from termination and polishing to testing, inspection, and cleaning. This programme ensures that Elevate's team holds the specialist skills required for the stringent standards demanded by contemporary, mission-critical data centre environments.
Andrew Percival, Managing Director of Excel Networking Solutions, stated:
"At the core of Elevate is a simple promise - to deliver Future Faster. That means investing in partnerships, in solutions, and in our people. We're building a brand that combines best-in-class technologies with technical confidence and service reliability. This kind of investment in our team ensures we can keep that promise."
Percival emphasised the impact of technical competence on project delivery, saying:
"When our associates are trained to this level, they approach every project with confidence - and in turn, that helps our customers deliver their projects with equal levels of confidence. Whether it's for hyperscale, edge, or enterprise deployments, being technically credible at every stage matters. It's what sets Elevate apart."
Investment in infrastructure
The investment in staff training builds on the company's ongoing commitment to pre-configuration services, a segment that has experienced notable growth over the past year. Central to this expansion is the establishment of Environ House, a purpose-built facility exceeding the size of the company's previous headquarters in Birmingham by threefold.
Environ House features a new fibre room dedicated to high-density and multi-fibre terminations. The space includes specialised zones for MPO, MTP, and very small form factor (VSFF) terminations. The facility is equipped with advanced assembly, inspection, and testing equipment, following a multi six-figure investment. The site enables rapid production of ultra-low-loss, fully certified fibre solutions assembled within the UK.
Operational agility
Richard Cann, Config Team Manager at Elevate, commented on the impact of in-house expertise:
"As demand for MPO grows, having this expertise in-house gives Elevate and our customers a real advantage. We're able to turn around high-quality, UK-assembled solutions faster - and that agility is critical when project timelines are tight."
Cann further explained the value of Senko's training:
"The Senko training ensures we are aligned with the best technical practices globally, and that we're bringing that knowledge directly to the customers we serve. It means better control, faster deployment, and assurance that the infrastructure meets the demands of today's and tomorrow's high-speed networks."
Technical capabilities
Elevate offers high-density MPO solutions built around Senko's low-loss connector platform. These connections achieve insertion loss values as low as 0.10dB for singlemode and 0.08dB for multimode, supporting data transmission rates of 400G, 800G, and beyond. This combination of scalability and performance makes the solutions appropriate for high-bandwidth environments in which speed, efficiency, and adaptability are critical.
Partnership approach
Andrew Percival concluded by outlining the significance of collaboration:
"Our Powered by Partnerships approach is all about combining best-in-class technology with deep technical knowledge. Senko is a key partner, and together with our investment in people, facilities and process, we're helping the market deploy future-ready connectivity - faster."
The expansion of Elevate's capabilities through training and investment comes as the EMEA data centre market continues to increase in complexity and scale. Elevate positions itself to support operators throughout all phases, from initial design and specification, through pre-configuration and installation, to ongoing optimisation.
