Klippa & Open Connections partner to boost AI document automation
Klippa has entered into a strategic partnership with Open Connections to offer advanced document processing solutions for organisations handling complex workflows and legacy systems.
The two companies combine their respective expertise, with Klippa providing its AI-driven DocHorizon platform and Open Connections contributing over three decades of experience in document management and process integration. The goal is to enhance efficiency in sectors such as finance, healthcare, logistics, and government by leveraging artificial intelligence for more intelligent document management.
Combining expertise
Open Connections' background includes solutions for document capture, classification, archiving, and regulatory compliance. With this partnership, the companies aim to make technologies, including Optical Character Recognition (OCR), machine learning, and document automation, accessible to both new and existing enterprise systems.
Klippa's Chief Commercial Officer, Jeroen Kant, outlined the significance of collaborating with Open Connections. He said, "Partnering with Open Connections enables us to extend our technology to a broader range of organisations ready to embrace the next phase of digitisation. They bring a deep understanding of the complexities and legacy systems many companies face. By combining their expertise with our AI-powered DocHorizon platform, we can deliver scalable, practical solutions that drive meaningful impact – reducing costs, saving time, and enhancing accuracy."
Integration and capability
As part of the collaboration, Open Connections will utilise several modules from the DocHorizon platform. These include tools for reading and validating various documents, such as invoices, receipts, passports, and other business forms. By utilising Klippa's API and low-code Flowbuilder modules, clients can efficiently deploy document automation workflows with minimal disruption to their ongoing processes.
Manual document processing continues to be a source of errors and inefficiency for many organisations, particularly those with established workflows relying on legacy systems. The partnership aims to address this by providing easy access to high-accuracy data extraction and automation technologies that can be seamlessly integrated into existing and new environments.
Richard Rogers, Technical Director at Open Connections, emphasises the partnership's client-facing benefits and its focus on reducing manual workloads and regulatory burdens:
"Klippa enables our clients to easily leverage AI technologies. With this, we can build new solutions or integrate the technologies into existing systems. Our goal is to help clients deliver better service, ensure regulatory compliance, reduce manual data entry, and lower operational costs."
Strategic aims
The partnership reflects both companies' focus on advancing automation in administrative work and document processing. By enabling clients to automate data extraction, reading, and verification, Klippa and Open Connections aim to assist organisations in modernising operations, achieving regulatory compliance, and gaining long-term value by reducing operational overhead.
Organisations across regulated sectors and industries with high document volumes are expected to benefit from reduced manual entry and improved speed and accuracy in processing, as technologies such as the DocHorizon platform become more widely available through integration with Open Connections' solutions and services.
