MKSK Consulting has relaunched its Oracle Cloud HCM work-schedule software as ScheduleX. The product now sits on the company's X Cloud Platform.

Previously known as the MKSK Work Schedule Tool, it has been repositioned as a standalone product alongside FormulaX, another Oracle Cloud HCM tool developed by the consultancy.

ScheduleX addresses a part of Oracle Cloud HCM projects that often takes significant implementation time: creating work schedules and rotating shift patterns at scale. Organisations with shift-based or flexible workforces may need to build and check hundreds, or in some cases thousands, of patterns before loading them into the system, according to MKSK.

MKSK says Oracle's standard spreadsheet method supports only a limited number of work patterns, while creating schedules individually through the user interface can be slow. It also says errors in schedule creation may not emerge until payroll is processed.

The product is built around a three-step process: teams create schedules in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, validate them before loading, and then upload approved schedules into Oracle Cloud HCM in bulk.

MKSK says the validation stage detects duplicates in real time before data is loaded, helping identify issues earlier in the workflow. It says this approach was highlighted in an award citation tied to the tool.

In its Greater London Enterprise Awards 2025 profile, SME News credited the software with reducing rota-to-payroll processing by up to 90 per cent. MKSK says the system also supports unlimited complex rotations, event-driven processing, automated exception management, role-based access control, audit logs, and reporting dashboards.

Target users

The product is aimed at payroll leaders, HR systems teams, HRIS managers, Oracle HCM product owners, and HR transformation executives. It is also intended for Oracle HCM consultancies, systems integrators, and implementation partners managing complex schedule requirements under fixed delivery timelines.

That focus reflects a broader issue in Oracle Cloud HCM projects, where schedule configuration may appear minor but can consume project time and affect delivery margins when it becomes difficult to manage at scale.

ScheduleX joins FormulaX on the X Cloud Platform. MKSK describes FormulaX as an AI tool for generating, explaining, and validating Oracle Fast Formulas.

According to the consultancy, both products grew out of work carried out by its consultants during live Oracle Cloud HCM implementations. That origin is central to how MKSK is positioning the software: as tools developed to solve recurring delivery problems rather than products created separately from project work.

"Work schedules look like a configuration detail - until you have hundreds of rotating patterns to build and a payroll deadline behind them. We built this tool because we kept living that problem on implementations. As ScheduleX, in the X Cloud Platform alongside FormulaX, it now gets the name, the platform and the focus it had already earned in practice. Design it, validate it, load it - and move on to the work that actually transforms HR," said Mohammed Khan, Director - Oracle Division, MKSK Consulting.

Company focus

MKSK is an Oxford-based consultancy focused solely on Oracle Cloud HCM. It says all its consultants are Oracle Cloud HCM-certified and that it supports organisations across 200 countries and jurisdictions in payroll, absence, and time and labour projects.

MKSK says it has supported 200,000 employees across complex implementations. It also reports a 90 per cent efficiency improvement for clients and a 100 per cent client satisfaction rate.

MKSK has also received recognition in the SME News Greater London Enterprise Awards 2025, where it won Best Use of AI in Enterprise HR Transformation 2025 and the Innovation Award in Payroll Automation & Transformation 2025.

The latest product move reflects a broader pattern among specialist enterprise software consultancies turning internal project tools into commercial software. In this case, MKSK is seeking to formalise a scheduling tool that addresses a narrow but operationally significant part of Oracle Cloud HCM deployments.

For organisations with large shift-based workforces, work-schedule errors can have knock-on effects in payroll and workforce administration. MKSK's argument is that bringing schedule design, validation, and bulk loading into a single workflow can reduce manual effort and catch mistakes before they reach pay processing.

ScheduleX is available now as part of the X Cloud Platform.
