Shure unveils IntelliMix Room Kits for Teams Rooms

Today

Shure has introduced its IntelliMix Room Kits, systems designed for integration with Microsoft Teams Rooms to enhance meetings with improved audio and video capabilities.

The IntelliMix Room Kits aim to improve communication within small to large meeting environments, offering enhanced clarity for AI-powered functionalities used in workplace settings. By ensuring superior audio input, these systems facilitate accurate transcriptions and summaries, a feature deemed essential by users of AI tools such as Microsoft 365 Copilot.

Sam Sabet, Chief Technology Officer at Shure, commented on the importance of audio quality: "Capturing clear and precise voices is essential during AI-powered meetings. High-quality audio helps convey the nuances of vocal expressions, emotions, and tone, which will aid advanced AI tools in understanding intent and enhancing communication and collaboration among team members, especially for remote participants. Shure's new IntelliMix Room Kits are designed to provide reliable, premium audio, bridging the gap between remote teams and fostering a more inclusive and efficient collaboration environment."

Albert Kooiman, Senior Director of Partner Engineering and Customer Experiences at Microsoft, also welcomed Shure's products: "We're pleased to welcome Shure to the Microsoft Teams Rooms ecosystem with the introduction of their IntelliMix Room Kits. Expanding Shure's expertise in audio innovation to full room system kits enhances day-to-day meeting experiences and helps Microsoft 365 Copilot bring the meeting experience to the next level."

The IntelliMix Room Kits promise easy installation through Zero Touch Provisioning, allowing components to self-configure upon connection. Once physically connected, users only need to power on the device and log in using a Teams Room account or utilise Windows Autopilot with Autologin for Teams Rooms. The system also features the IntelliMix Room software, which mitigates unwanted sounds and optimises audio clarity, creating an audio environment free from echo, noise, and reverb. The software further supports Shure's MXA902 Ceiling Array Microphone and Loudspeaker for seamless automatic connection.

Visual engagement is addressed by AI-powered Huddly video cameras included in the kits. These cameras come equipped with features such as Huddly Director and Group Framing to automatically frame participants and enhance video experiences during meetings.

Sabet elaborated on the partnership between Shure and Microsoft: "IT departments require solutions that simplify their lives and workflows—from selection and purchase to installation and management. Shure is more than a solution provider; we're a true collaboration partner. By working side by side with Microsoft, we're offering a complete, one-stop-shop for every room's needs."

Shure's offerings are intended to be scalable, allowing easy selection and management based on specific space requirements. The company has introduced four distinct room kits, tailored to suit different room sizes, each kit providing a suite of functionalities ideal for IT managers and AV integrators.

Shure prioritises security and cloud management. IntelliMix Room Kit equipment enables IT personnel to monitor and manage systems remotely using platforms such as Teams Admin Center and ShureCloud. In addition to the standard warranty, customers are offered the option of a three-year extended warranty.

The new IntelliMix Room Kits will be available in Spring 2025 and will be displayed at ISE 2025 in Barcelona.
