Shure unveils MXW neXt 4 & 8 wireless systems line-up
Shure has announced the release of its Microflex Wireless neXt 4 and neXt 8 systems, expanding the neXt range to accommodate various room sizes and applications. This follows the launch of the 2-channel system in 2024.
Building on its existing offering, the new MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 wireless systems are designed to provide flexible and user-friendly solutions for both medium and large spaces. The company highlights enhanced audio performance and improved software connectivity as key features aiming to simplify workflows for AV integrators and IT managers.
Ralf Klinnert, Senior Manager of Product Management at Shure, stated, "MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 are excellent solutions for those seeking highly flexible and easy-to-set-up wireless systems that enhance collaboration and interactivity. Now with new four and eight-channel systems, AV integrators and IT managers have access to expanded capabilities for medium to extra-large spaces. MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 feature upgraded product components and increased software connectivity to simplify workflows while continuing to deliver exceptional audio performance."
One of the standout features of the MXW neXt systems is the inclusion of IntelliMix digital signal processing capabilities and comprehensive I/O connections, which include USB, Dante networked audio and analogue audio. This allows for quick microphone pairing and streamlines complex installation workflows.
The systems are also integrated with Designer 6 Software, which enables users to redesign workflows easily and create intuitive system layouts. This ease of setup is important for users who want to achieve efficiency in their AV systems.
For management and monitoring, the systems connect to ShureCloud, Shure's cloud-enabled centralised management platform. This feature offers AV integrators and IT managers real-time remote access to manage, monitor, and control devices remotely.
Shure emphasises that the MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 cater to evolving hybrid working needs by providing premium audio for spaces requiring extensive microphone configurations and seamless connections to video conferencing systems. New microphone designs, including a gooseneck transmitter, are equipped with batteries that last up to 39 hours.
Both systems can be installed as standalone solutions or integrated into network setups. They also incorporate Shure Audio Encryption powered by the AES-256 algorithm, providing a strong layer of security for audio communications.
Users can select from four redesigned wireless microphone form factors, each featuring an LCD high-resolution matrix display. Options include the MXW1X Bodypack, MXW2X Handheld (available with various mic capsules), MXW6X Boundary, and MXW8X Gooseneck microphone.
Furthermore, each system boasts a space-saving gooseneck charger capable of charging up to eight microphones simultaneously. These chargers also support daisy-chaining via an ethernet connection to streamline integration with the associated wireless access point.
The MXW neXt 4 and neXt 8 systems have also been tested and certified by Microsoft Teams, offering a reliable option for organisations using this collaborative platform.
