TCL launches QLED TVs in UK with Google TV & Fire TV
Thu, 16th Apr 2026
TCL has launched a new range of QLED televisions in the UK, including models with Google TV and Fire TV.
The line-up covers the P8L, P7L, V6D and C6K series, with screen sizes from 43in to 98in and prices starting at GBP £379.
The launch broadens TCL's UK TV offering with models aimed at both mid-range buyers and those looking for larger screens. It also gives the company a dual-software approach across the portfolio, with some sets running Google TV and others running Fire TV.
Four Series
The P8L sits at the top of the newly announced QLED range. It is available in 55in, 65in, 75in and 85in sizes, priced from £649 to £1,399. TCL says it combines QD-Mini LED dimming, QLED display technology, 4K HDR support and a 144Hz refresh rate.
Gaming is a central part of the P8L specification. The set includes HDMI 2.1, Auto Low Latency Mode, 144Hz variable refresh rate, FreeSync Premium and what TCL describes as a 288Hz Game Accelerator.
The P8L also runs Google TV, with built-in Google Assistant and support for Miracast, Google Cast and AirPlay 2. It supports HDR10, HLG, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and includes Filmmaker Mode to switch off additional image processing during playback.
The P7L targets a lower price point while retaining QLED branding and 4K resolution. It will be sold in 43in, 50in, 55in, 65in, 75in and 85in versions, priced from GBP £399 to GBP £1,299.
According to TCL, the P7L uses an HVA panel and upgraded Colourful Quantum Crystal material to deliver 93% coverage of the DCI-P3 colour space. It also includes the company's AiPQ Processor and software tools branded as AI Cinematic Agent and AI Gaming Agent.
Like the P8L, the P7L runs Google TV and supports Google Assistant, Google Cast, Miracast and Apple AirPlay 2. Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 5 and HDMI 2.1 eARC. Audio comes through integrated Onkyo speakers, with a 2.0-channel system on sizes from 43in to 75in and a 2.1-channel version on the 85in model.
Fire TV Option
The V6D adds a Fire TV option to the range. It will be available in 43in, 50in, 55in, 65in and 75in sizes, with prices from GBP £379 to GBP £699.
TCL says the V6D combines 4K HDR, HDR10+, Dolby Atmos and Fire TV software. It also includes gaming features such as variable refresh rate and Auto Low Latency Mode under the company's Game Master branding.
The V6D ships with a voice remote with Alexa controls. Users can launch apps, search for titles, play music, switch inputs and control compatible smart home devices with voice commands.
Larger Screens
The C6K extends its range to larger screen sizes, including a 98-in model. Prices run from GBP £579 for the 50in version to GBP £1,999 for the 98in set.
TCL says the C6K uses QD-Mini LED technology and supports Dolby Vision IQ and HDR10+. The series also includes an integrated Onkyo 2.1 sound system.
The broad spread of sizes and prices suggests TCL is aiming to cover both replacement purchases and demand for larger home entertainment screens. The inclusion of a 98in the model under GBP £2,000 also puts pressure on more established premium brands in the oversized TV segment, where prices have historically been much higher.
Across the range, TCL is leaning on a mix of film and gaming features rather than separating those audiences. Dolby Vision, HDR10+, Filmmaker Mode, HDMI 2.1 and variable refresh rate support appear across different parts of the line-up, although exact specifications vary by model.
Retail pricing remains indicative and may differ by seller. Specifications may also vary by screen size, particularly in audio configuration and panel design.
The new televisions will be sold through major UK retailers, with prices ranging from GBP £379 for entry-level models to GBP £1,999 for the largest set in the line-up.
