TD SYNNEX & SAS unveil Viya partner lab for Europe

Thu, 12th Mar 2026

TD SYNNEX has launched a SAS Partner Solution Environment across Europe for SAS channel partners, providing a ready-to-use platform for demonstrations and early-stage analytics work based on SAS Viya.

The environment provides a standard setup for customer-facing sessions such as demos, proofs of concept, and proof-of-value workshops. It is intended to help partners showcase AI and analytics use cases with less effort spent on deployment.

SAS Viya sits at the centre of the offering. It is a unified analytics platform designed to run across public, private, and hybrid cloud infrastructure, supporting organisations that want a consistent approach across different environments.

For partners, the environment is designed to reduce the time needed to prepare customer demonstrations and provides a framework for testing prototypes. This can be a sticking point for smaller partners and specialist consultancies that need access to working infrastructure before committing to larger projects.

TD SYNNEX positioned the launch as a way to reduce technical and cost barriers. Partners can spend more time on business outcomes and less time on setup and integration, while faster development cycles may also support sales execution. Expected benefits include shorter sales cycles, stronger win rates, and improved customer engagement.

Channel focus

The launch reflects a wider trend among software vendors and distributors to package repeatable environments for partners. Channel firms face pressure to deliver quick demonstrations and tailored workshops, particularly when AI features require domain context and clear governance. A managed or pre-configured environment can also reduce variability between partner teams and geographies.

Within the SAS ecosystem, partners typically combine the vendor's analytics platform with sector-specific knowledge and data integration work. A standard partner environment can make it easier to move from an early demonstration to a scoped project, while providing a common reference architecture across engagements.

The environment is a joint initiative between TD SYNNEX and SAS, supported through collaboration with Lenovo, Intel, and Red Hat. These companies contribute infrastructure and platform components associated with hybrid deployments, including server hardware and software layers used for cloud and on-premises operations.

Lenovo supplies data centre systems, Intel provides processors used across enterprise deployments, and Red Hat supplies Linux and container tools widely used for hybrid cloud operations. Their involvement suggests an approach aimed at mixed infrastructure estates rather than a single-cloud design.

Operational detail

Commercial terms for partners have not been disclosed, nor whether access is bundled with existing programmes. It is also unclear whether TD SYNNEX will host the environment directly or whether partners will access it through customer infrastructure and cloud accounts. Even so, the emphasis on a "ready-to-use platform" points to a focus on repeatability and faster initial engagement.

The environment is likely to appeal to partners working with mid-sized organisations, where budgets for experimentation can be constrained and IT teams often seek clarity before committing to larger deployments. It may also support larger projects where stakeholders need to see a working prototype before approving data access, governance, or long-term infrastructure plans.

SAS said the environment is intended to lower barriers to prototyping and testing. John Carey, Senior Vice President, Global Channels at SAS, linked the initiative to faster delivery for customers and easier access for partners.

"The TD SYNNEX SAS Partner Solution Environment empowers organisations to bring AI-driven solutions to market faster and deliver accelerated value to their customers," said John Carey, Senior Vice President, Global Channels at SAS. "The fact that it's built on SAS Viya means it's well placed to enable organisations to design and test prototypes with lower cost barriers, reducing time to value. We are excited to launch this initiative with TD SYNNEX as we accelerate the creation of innovative AI solutions across Europe."

TD SYNNEX and SAS plan to roll the environment out through partner engagements across European markets, with channel firms using it for customer demonstrations and early-stage workshops on analytics and AI projects.
