TP-Link expands Irish channel reach with Renaissance deal
TP-Link has signed a distribution partnership with Irish value-added distributor Renaissance, adding Omada networking products to Renaissance's channel portfolio in Ireland.
The deal brings TP-Link's Omada platform into Renaissance's supply chain for resellers and managed service providers. It also extends TP-Link's business networking push in Ireland by building routes to market for small- and mid-sized business connectivity.
Renaissance has operated in the Irish channel for 35 years, focusing on networking and security suppliers sold through value-added resellers and MSPs. The partnership expands the networking options it can offer partners seeking a single supplier across core network components.
Channel focus
Both companies positioned the partnership as a way to improve how partners buy, deploy and support networks. The agreement centres on Omada, TP-Link's cloud-managed networking range for small and medium-sized organisations and multi-site operators.
Omada brings network gateways, switches, wireless access points and controllers under a single management layer. It supports centralised configuration and monitoring through a cloud interface and is designed for both single-site and multi-site environments.
Renaissance highlighted local support, technical resources and product availability as key benefits for customers. Stock access and local assistance have become recurring issues for channel partners as network refresh cycles overlap with broader security upgrades and compliance projects.
Deployment model
Remote deployment and management are central to the proposition. Omada uses cloud-based administration and supports zero-touch provisioning, allowing partners to configure devices remotely rather than sending engineers on-site for initial setup.
This approach suits MSP-led roll-outs, particularly for customers with multiple locations. It also aligns with how many smaller organisations now buy IT services, with networking increasingly bundled into managed contracts alongside endpoint security, identity and monitoring.
The partnership was also framed around a "single vendor" approach to end-to-end networking. That model can reduce integration work for partners, that would otherwise assemble networks from multiple suppliers and maintain separate management tools.
Renaissance has recently expanded its cybersecurity and compliance catalogue in Ireland, introducing more than 35 new products over the past five years and building a vendor and reseller ecosystem around them. Adding a broader networking stack strengthens the portfolio for partners that want to align network upgrades with security programmes.
Michael Conway, Director at Renaissance, said: "Partnering with Omada by TP-Link allows us to deliver a complete networking solution that is scalable, reliable, and simple to manage.
"This strengthens our ability to support our customers with secure, cloud-managed networking that enables them to meet market demands and grow their business."
Irish expansion
TP-Link has been working to increase its presence in business networking across the UK and Ireland, alongside its better-known consumer Wi-Fi and smart home products. In Ireland, distribution partnerships are a key route to reaching smaller partners and MSPs that require local stock, credit terms and pre-sales support.
"Working with Renaissance enables us to bring Omada's cloud-managed platform to more businesses across the Irish market, continuing our growth in the region," said Ben Allcock, Vice President - B2B, UK&I, TP-Link. "Together, we are helping organisations simplify network management while delivering high-performance, secure connectivity."
For Renaissance, the partnership adds another networking supplier as customers revisit local network design. The spread of cloud applications, hybrid working patterns, and more connected on-premises devices has increased attention to Wi-Fi coverage, segmentation, and visibility. Many organisations also want more consistent configuration across sites, driving demand for central management tools.
For resellers and MSPs, cloud-managed networking can also change the economics of service delivery. Remote configuration reduces travel and shortens deployment schedules, while central dashboards make it easier to standardise service tiers and monitor multiple customers.
The partnership also includes additional support resources for partners, with an emphasis on technical depth and local responsiveness. These have become key differentiators in the channel, especially for smaller partners without large in-house network engineering teams.
Renaissance will distribute Omada networking products to the Irish channel as the two companies build partner coverage and pursue additional business opportunities in Ireland.
