TrilbyTV empowers clear communication in schools with Transform Trust
TrilbyTV, the digital signage provider, has released a new video highlighting how Transform Trust has created opportunities for clear, engaging staff communication via content on screens across its schools.
Transform Trust was established in 2013 with the belief that "education has the power to transform lives and communities." The trust is made up of 26 primary schools in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire and aims to continue growing in the coming years. It places a strong focus on maintaining the unique identity of each school while offering a supportive environment for overall improvement.
Rebecca Meredith, CEO of Transform Trust, discussed the challenges of communicating across a growing trust. She explained, "Communication is hard. As we've grown, the message sometimes wasn't delivered as we intended it to be. You're trying to hit the right audience with the right message and hope it sinks in: how was it rippling out as far as we could get it? Beyond the headteacher or the office desk."
Phil Herd, Executive Headteacher at Transform Trust, pinpointed their need for digital signage. "I was in a school in Nottingham. They had one screen and they were showing the school diary. I thought, that's what I want to achieve, but across twenty-six schools. So, it was at that point I got in touch with TrilbyTV and I said 'right, we have a problem. Can you come and help us out with it?'"
TrilbyTV offers a solution to the challenge of communicating with hundreds of busy staff members across multiple schools. Their Multisite feature is reported to be particularly useful for Multi Academy Trusts, groups, or school districts, as it provides administrators more control over users, players, and content spread across all their schools.
Upon realising that traditional communication methods - newsletters, emails, and Microsoft Teams - were not sufficiently effective for delivering key messages, Transform Trust decided to roll out TrilbyTV in every staffroom across the Trust. The Multisite feature streamlined this process by allowing a single presentation to be pushed out to all staffroom screens, rather than distributing individual presentations to each school.
Sarah Doig, PA to the CEO at Transform Trust, manages the content creation process and highlighted the tangible benefits of using TrilbyTV. "It's really helped us get into staffrooms so staff haven't got to trawl through things: it's there, it's clear. We've had more interaction from staff, we've had more sign-ups to events, many more of our newsletters have been read. It's been a really great addition," she said.
Mark Lowe, Headteacher at Sneinton St Stephen's CofE Primary School, echoed these sentiments, noting the wider impact on staff engagement. "The trust has been able to deliver messaging to staff about employee benefits, key events and CPD that's coming up. It's become a way that our staff can join in with a much bigger community and engage in the life of the trust."
TrilbyTV has enabled Transform Trust to create a mixture of content and display different information across their screens. By giving access to multiple staff members, the trust has fostered a sense of shared ownership around digital signage.
