Westcon-Comstor brings Meter's NaaS offering to EMEA

Thu, 12th Feb 2026

Westcon-Comstor has signed a distribution agreement with Meter, bringing the US networking-as-a-service supplier into its EMEA channel business for the first time.

The deal makes Westcon-Comstor Meter's first distributor across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, enabling partners in the region to resell Meter's subscription-based networking offer through the channel.

Networking-as-a-service has grown in prominence as more organisations shift IT spending away from upfront purchases and towards operating expenditure. The model also aligns with broader moves towards managed services and recurring revenue for vendors and channel partners.

Channel route

Under the deal, Westcon-Comstor will add Meter to its networking portfolio, positioning the move as a way for partners to pursue subscription deals in accounts where capital spending is constrained.

Westcon-Comstor plans to drive adoption through partner services including training and education, data-led insights and lifecycle management. Commercial terms, partner targets and priority countries were not disclosed.

Founded in California in 2015, Meter sells a unified networking package that combines hardware, software and managed services under a single subscription.

Pricing is based on a customer's site size rather than the number of individual devices. Meter says this makes costs more predictable and helps customers avoid large upfront purchases.

Product model

Meter's offer spans switching, Wi‑Fi, security and power, delivered as an integrated stack. It describes the platform as vertically integrated, with a single operating system across the offering.

The service includes co-managed deployment, ongoing support and lifecycle upgrades. Meter says this removes hidden costs and reduces operational overhead compared with more fragmented network deployments.

The vendor targets organisations with multiple sites and distributed environments. It cites retail, logistics and higher education as examples where networks often need to be deployed and maintained consistently across large footprints.

Partner economics

Westcon-Comstor framed the agreement around partner profitability and recurring income, saying partners can pursue "high-margin, recurring revenues" as customers show interest in subscription consumption.

It also said partners can take on NaaS opportunities without additional investment in specialist skills or go-to-market resources. This reflects a common promise of as-a-service models, where vendors bundle ongoing operations rather than leaving partners and customers to integrate multiple products and support contracts.

"Meter offers a fresh, simple and profitable approach to networking that directly addresses the needs of partners, while adding a new dimension to our networking vendor portfolio," said Daniel Hurel, Senior Vice President, Westcon EMEA Go-To-Market at Westcon-Comstor.

"This is a true utility network model, perfect for the channel. The combination of Meter's innovative technology and our value-added distribution capabilities will unlock growth potential for our partners across the entire EMEA region, enabling us to drive partner success in underserved markets."

For Meter, the partnership provides an established route into a region with a complex patchwork of national channel markets, regulatory environments and procurement norms. Distributors typically add financing options, logistics, partner recruitment, technical enablement and aggregated buying power.

"We are excited to bring our enterprise networking offering to the EMEA channel through our agreement with Westcon-Comstor," said Adam Ulfers, Head of Sales and Channel at Meter.

"Their channel reach, networking expertise and data-driven approach make them the ideal distribution partner to help us scale our presence and deliver our vision of simpler, more secure and more scalable networking to businesses across the region," he added.

The companies said they will work with resellers, systems integrators and service providers across EMEA, with Westcon-Comstor handling partner onboarding and enablement as Meter expands its regional channel footprint.
