Westcon-Comstor & Rackmount.IT sign EMEA deal for Cisco racking

Westcon-Comstor has announced a distribution agreement with Rackmount.IT to provide Cisco racking solutions across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA), aimed at helping partners improve the cybersecurity resilience of their customers' IT infrastructure.

Agreement details

Comstor, the Cisco-focused business of Westcon-Comstor, will distribute Rackmount.IT's range of mounting kits which allow desktop network appliances to be converted into rack-mounted devices. These solutions are designed to help partners organise and secure desktop appliances and electronic equipment in various industrial and commercial environments.

According to Westcon-Comstor, the agreement will allow Cisco partners to better protect their customers' network infrastructure and reduce time to resolution by supporting advanced patch management strategies. The move creates opportunities for Cisco partners to upsell and cross-sell by integrating Rackmount.IT's customisable Cisco and Cisco Meraki products with other solutions and managed services provided to both existing and new customers.

Channel reach

The collaboration will leverage Comstor's value-added services and established ecosystem of channel partners, which includes managed service providers and managed security service providers. Through this, Rackmount.IT will gain increased visibility and reach among enterprise businesses and small to medium-sized organisations in the EMEA region.

Rackmount.IT's range includes products for standard 19-inch cabinets as well as solutions for more challenging industrial settings. There is potential for the partnership between Rackmount.IT and Comstor to extend to other vendor segments within the broader Westcon portfolio in the future.
