Intuit debuts AI-native Accountant Suite for UK firms

Thu, 12th Feb 2026

Intuit has launched Intuit Accountant Suite in the UK, positioning it as a single platform for practice management and client work with AI-driven features for accounting firms.

Best known for QuickBooks, Intuit said the suite brings together firm management, client collaboration, service delivery and insight tools. It framed the launch as a response to rising administrative burdens and changing expectations among small business clients.

UK accounting firms often rely on multiple systems for bookkeeping, payroll, reporting and practice administration. Intuit aims to consolidate these workflows under one login and a shared data layer that connects firm data, client data and third-party systems.

Product scope

Intuit Accountant Suite includes five areas: client management, client collaboration, service delivery, business planning and team management. It is designed to sit alongside Intuit products already used by firms and clients, including QuickBooks and Intuit ProTax.

Client management includes consolidated client files under a single sign-in, plus a firm-specific client number for unique identification. Intuit said this supports search, tracking and billing. The suite also includes role-based access controls for delegating tasks across services such as accounting, bookkeeping and payroll.

A custom dashboard lets each team member set up a personalised view of tasks and reminders to help ensure deadlines and actions are not missed. Intuit also highlighted an "optimised performance" design intended to remain responsive as client numbers grow.

AI features

Intuit described the suite as "AI-native" and built on its AI platform, with embedded AI agents and connected data. Intuit said accountants can use it to answer operational questions such as client profitability and staff utilisation.

It also said the platform can automate tasks, including running payroll and creating firm-wide or client-specific reports and dashboards. Intuit said these functions draw on Intuit data, client data and connected third-party systems.

Two features are launching in beta. "Books Close at Scale" provides templates and progress tracking for period-end close and review. "AI-powered Client Insights" offers firm-wide analytics and benchmarking across the client base.

The suite also includes books-to-tax integration, which Intuit said syncs client tax data with Intuit ProTax and reduces manual data entry.

Market context

Intuit positioned the product within a broader shift in the accountant-client relationship, as firms take on more operational and strategic work beyond statutory compliance. Leigh Thomas, Vice President of EMEA at Intuit, linked this shift to business performance and data-driven decision-making.

"The relationship between accountants and their clients has transformed in recent years, and so must the technology that supports them. With a focus on business performance and long-term growth, access to smarter, more data-driven decision-making is now essential; unlocking an 11.5% growth in revenue for SMBs who use accounting and bookkeeping services. Intuit Accountant Suite brings artificial intelligence and human intelligence together into a platform of tools that further foster this growth for both parties," Thomas said.

Ros Hodgson, director at BCAMS Limited, said the arrival of AI-based tools marks another major change for the profession after the move from desktop software to cloud services.

"I remember moving from desktop to cloud, and now we've got AI agents and the Intuit Accountant Suite. This to me is the biggest shift in terms of tools for accountants and bookkeepers that are genuinely helping us manage our firms more efficiently and use our resources better. You have control, clear insights and a great overview of all your clients. It's helping me help my clients, and give them the insights they need, when they need them," Hodgson said.

Roadmap and pricing

Intuit said it plans to add collaboration features in the coming months, including document sharing, integrated web conferencing, meeting scheduling and AI note-taking. It also outlined additional AI-based analysis and anomaly detection to monitor client portfolios and flag issues across payroll, accounts payable and bill pay data.

Intuit Accountant Suite is currently available to UK-based accounting firms at no cost, Intuit said. Future pricing will depend on functionality and market conditions.

QuickBooks plans to showcase Intuit Accountant Suite at its London Get Connected event, which Intuit described as an annual gathering for accountants, bookkeepers and industry leaders focused on fintech, AI and digital tax.
