AVEVA has been named a leader in the Verdantix Green Quadrant for Asset Performance Management solutions, which assesses suppliers of software used to monitor and maintain industrial assets.

The assessment ranked AVEVA strongly in data and information management, predictive monitoring, reliability analysis and customer adoption. Verdantix also highlighted its work in lifecycle strategy simulation, root cause analysis, and tools that help users identify process drift and improve energy efficiency.

Maintenance shift

Asset performance management software helps industrial groups track equipment condition, spot early signs of failure and plan maintenance. The market has grown as operators in sectors including energy, manufacturing and infrastructure seek to reduce unplanned downtime and make better use of data generated across plants and facilities.

AVEVA said the recognition reflects demand from industrial organisations looking to move beyond reactive and preventive maintenance. It argues that businesses increasingly want systems that support predictive maintenance and reliability-centred operations by combining operational and engineering data.

Platform role

A central part of AVEVA's offering is its CONNECT Industrial Intelligence platform, which brings together data across the asset lifecycle. AVEVA said this gives users a single view of operations and helps maintenance and reliability teams assess equipment health and prioritise interventions.

Its asset library contains more than 1,500 failure modes, 2,000 preventive tasks and 5,000 prescriptive tasks. According to AVEVA, these datasets help users identify likely equipment issues earlier and act on historical and contextual information.

Market ranking

The Verdantix Green Quadrant is a market analysis framework that compares software suppliers on product strength and business momentum. Leader status can influence buying decisions among industrial operators that use analyst rankings in procurement and supplier selection.

For AVEVA, the ranking comes as software vendors compete to prove their tools can deliver measurable operational improvements rather than simply collect data. Industrial customers face pressure to improve reliability, extend asset life and cut maintenance costs while dealing with ageing equipment and tighter performance targets.

Customer needs

"This recognition from Verdantix reflects the growing need for industrial companies to connect data, reliability and operational insight in one place," said Rob McGreevy, Chief Product Officer, AVEVA.

"Our customers are looking for more than visibility. They need to predict failures earlier, prioritise action faster, and improve performance across the asset lifecycle. AVEVA helps them do that with the combination of industrial intelligence, advanced analytics and deep domain expertise," added McGreevy.

"AVEVA's Asset Performance Management solution delivers industry-leading asset analytics and reliability capabilities, supported by one of the most comprehensive asset libraries available. Built on the CONNECT Industrial Intelligence platform, AVEVA brings together and contextualises lifecycle engineering, operations and maintenance data, enabling robust asset information management, predictive analytics and reliability-centred maintenance," said Sayanh Alam, Industry Analyst, Verdantix.

"AVEVA's Asset Library is one of the most comprehensive, encompassing over 1,500 failure causes with failure conditions, 2,000 preventative tasks and 5,000 prescriptive tasks, with AI/ML (machine learning)-based predictive monitoring templates. With integrated data-driven capabilities, AVEVA helps organisations improve asset health, optimise maintenance strategies, and achieve measurable gains in reliability and operational performance," added Alam.
