Kingspan Insulation taps Expereo for global SD-WAN revamp

Tue, 17th Feb 2026

Kingspan Insulation has selected Expereo to provide a managed connectivity service across 90 sites worldwide, consolidating a multi-vendor wide area network into a single contract and operating model.

The arrangement extends Expereo's work with other parts of Kingspan. Kingspan Light, Air + Water recently selected Expereo for a similar managed connectivity service across its global operations.

Kingspan Insulation operates in 28 countries and runs 42 factories. Its wide area network spans multiple internet service providers, creating operational overhead in areas such as service consistency, oversight, and compliance.

The project reflects a broader shift in corporate networking away from private circuits and towards internet-based access for cloud applications. Kingspan Insulation is moving away from MPLS and increasing its use of software-as-a-service and cloud services. As a result, predictable connectivity across regions and suppliers, along with faster provisioning when sites are added or changed, is becoming more critical.

Single platform

Expereo will design, implement, and manage the service, providing centralised management through expereoOne, its network-as-a-service platform. The portal supports ordering, billing, ticketing, and auditing, alongside network visibility features.

ExpereoOne also provides real-time performance data and utilisation reporting, which Kingspan Insulation plans to use for resource management and security oversight across its sites.

Under the agreement, Expereo will manage both underlay and overlay services, including SD-WAN, Dedicated Internet Access, and broadband connectivity.

Low Earth Orbit satellite connectivity is being considered for future deployments. It would sit alongside fixed-line connectivity for sites that need quick installation or where terrestrial links are constrained.

Operational model

A key aim is to apply a single global standard across all sites. With a lean technical team relative to its footprint, Kingspan Insulation expects standardisation to simplify operations and reduce variation in local configurations and supplier processes.

Expereo says remote SD-WAN set-up can be completed in less than 30 minutes. Kingspan Insulation expects faster onboarding for new locations and a more consistent approach to changes across existing sites.

The service includes automated failover, designed to maintain connectivity if a primary link goes down. This resilience has become increasingly important for manufacturers and distributed organisations that rely on cloud-based systems for planning, production, and day-to-day operations.

Acquisitions and site additions are part of Kingspan Insulation's growth model. A single contract that can extend to future sites should reduce the time needed to negotiate with local service providers and bring new locations into a global network standard.

Wider Kingspan links

Kingspan Insulation's decision follows the earlier agreement between Expereo and Kingspan Light, Air + Water, another Kingspan business unit. That division supplies systems for smoke control and fire safety, daylighting and ventilation, and water management and storage.

The two deals suggest Kingspan is seeking to consolidate network services among fewer suppliers. Large industrial groups with international footprints often face uneven service levels and fragmented contracts when sites or regional teams source connectivity locally.

Expereo operates a managed network model that relies on a broad ecosystem of connectivity partners. It works with more than 2,300 partners and provides coverage in more than 190 countries.

Ben Elms, Chief Executive Officer of Expereo, said: "Global enterprises often struggle with fragmented networks that slow growth and increase risk. Our managed services and expereoOne platform provide the visibility, control, and agility Kingspan Insulation needs to support growth and innovation while reducing complexity and risk. With a single source of truth for all sites, services, and billing - Kingspan Insulation can scale confidently, stay compliant, and empower its team to focus on innovation and expansion."

Expereo will handle day-to-day service management and provide a single view of services across Kingspan Insulation's estate. The scope covers current sites and potential future sites under the same commercial framework, with regional support for implementation and ongoing operations.

Liam Waters, Divisional IT Operations Manager at Kingspan Insulation, said: "Kingspan Insulation is an innovative global organization and through our new partnership with Expereo we have the ability to expand rapidly whilst maintaining the visibility and control that we require. Deploying global standards is critical and with one vendor, one platform, and one set of processes, we can integrate new sites faster, maintain compliance, and keep pace with business demand."
